In those circumstances, the applicable client agreement and the client’s privacy policy govern the processing. Questions about personal information submitted to a client platform should be directed to that client.

BITs Software LLC is an independent limited liability company based in California, United States, with operations in India. BITs Software is backed by Business Intelligence Theorems, a London-based data technology services and consulting company.

Where applicable law uses the terms controller or business, BITs Software is the controller or business responsible for personal information collected through this website and for its own business purposes.

BITs Software develops and uses AI-assisted tools, large language models, optical character recognition, and workflow automation in appropriate business and client-service contexts.

When AI-assisted tools are used in our own operations, they may help organize, extract, summarize, classify, or draft information. We apply human review where appropriate and take reasonable steps to limit the personal information submitted to such tools. We do not use website inquiries to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals solely through automated processing.

AI features delivered for clients are governed by the relevant client agreement, project instructions, and privacy responsibilities. Clients determine the purposes and permitted data for their own AI-enabled workflows.


9. Client Service Data

Our clients may provide access to personal information so we can build, test, host, support, or integrate their software. We process that information only as permitted by the applicable agreement, documented instructions, and law. We may use approved subcontractors or technology providers to support the service, subject to appropriate contractual and security obligations.

Unless expressly agreed with a client, we do not use confidential client data or personal information processed on a client’s behalf to train publicly available AI models.

 

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide services, maintain business and project records, comply with legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our systems.

Retention periods vary according to the type of information, the nature of our relationship, legal requirements, security needs, and whether the information is required for an active or anticipated claim. When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it where reasonably practicable.

BITs Software does not sell personal information and does not knowingly share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Where required by applicable law and technically recognized by our website, we treat a browser-enabled Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not currently sell or knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not provide a separate sale or sharing opt-out link at this time.

Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, subject to lawful exceptions.
